Collaboration with Mike Dawes

English guitarist Mike Dawes and I released our version of the Gotye hit song “Somebody That I Used To Know”. Mike’s style is so different than mine, and that makes for good chemistry. For this song, I asked him to play his arrangement as he did solo, then I found a way to blend in, harmonize, strengthen choruses, and stay out of his way musically, yet add to what he’s doing! His approach to melodies is solid. This was fun to make, and I’m proud of the results.
