Tommy Emmanuel will be performing two live stream concerts in August. A portion of the proceeds from these show will go to some important independent venues that need support to get through these tough times. These will be full length concerts that will stream from one of Tommy’s favorite studios outside of Nashville, TN – Tunesmith Studio. Tommy will have his favorite studio engineer, Brad Benge, running the sound, and our friends at Neighborhoods Apart will be the ones behind the camera. The quality of these streams is going to be top notch!
The first show is going to be Saturday, August 15 and will air at 8:00pm EST in the US. If you can’t tune in at exactly that time, don’t worry…the performance will be on loop for 24 hours after the live stream. A portion of the proceeds for this show will benefit The Birchmere in Alexandria, VA (outside of Washington, DC). This venue has supported me throughout my career. They were one of the first ones to book me when not many people in the US knew who I was. Rob Ickes & Trey Hensley are going to open this show.
The second show is going to be Saturday, August 29 and will air at 9:00pm EST in the US, and this performance will be on loop for 24 hours as well. A portion of the proceeds for this show will benefit The Coach House in San Juan Capistrano, CA. I love playing this venue. They take great care of me there, and it’s one of the few places that Chet Atkins actually recommenced to me to perform at. Andy McKee is going to open this one.
